DONUT DRIVING SCHOOL

Duncan is the quintessential ‘Petrol Head’ and his love of all things automotive comes through in his enthusiasm. Some history on his background is as follows:-

Duncan has well over 30 years experience on the road and has accumulated over 1,000,000 miles of experience. He is fully qualified ADI and holds the highest Grade A rating with the DVSA. He was proud to be in the fairly small percentage of instructors who passed all of their three exams on the first attempt. He is also a ‘fellow’ member of the IAM (institute of advanced motorists).

He has been an instructor for Young Driver that teaches children from age 11. He still is an instructor and instructor co-ordinate for the Charity ‘The Under 17 Car Club’ which again teaches 11-17 year olds. This club teaches Roadcraft (the Institute of Advanced Motorists manual).

In addition he is a keen motorcyclist and has been riding since the age of 13. He is Committee member and Trustee  for SERV Herts & Beds (your local Blood Bikers Charity). He currently holds the role of Senior Trainer for the organisation.

Following his love of all things ‘internal combustion’ he is also a qualified pilot. Following on from his basic training he built up hours and obtained many ratings (IMC, Night, Multi Engine, tail wheel etc) and this culminated in a full Instrument rating. Over the years he has amassed in excess of 1,000 hours and in 2003 set a Guinness World Record in his plane.

So as you can see if it runs on petrol he has a passion for it (yes there was even a brief period when he was into boats). To gain all of the above Qualifications Duncan has been on the receiving end of many hours of instruction resulting in experiencing a vast amount of different teaching styles and he draws on all of them and this allows him to adapt to the individual needs of his students.

He has never been with a Franchise and has always been fully independent relying solely on happy customers recommendations.
